Brief Description of the City:

Xalapa is located at the skirts of the Chest of Perote. Xalapa has an abundant and rich vegetation, that comes from the mountains around Xalapa. Xalapa was constituted as a village in 1791, and become to be the capital of Veracruz state in 1830.

History:

It was founded in 1513, around the four pre-hispanic settlements that gave origin: Xallitic, Tecuanapan, Tlamecapan and Techacapan, Xalapa became the Capital of the state of Veracruz in the XIX century.

Festivities
Local holidays of San Jerónimo and Cultural Festival of San Jerónimo (September 24th to September 30th). Sir of Coatepec.
